【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesstandarddimensionalrequirementsforobtaining,withinpracticallimits,interchangeabilityinsphericalgroundjointsforordinarylaboratoryandindustrialapplications.Itcoversdimensionalinterchangeabilityofthegroundsurfacesonlyanddoesnotinvolvedesigncharacteristicsoftheitemexceptwherespecified,nordoesitinvolvephysicalorchemicalcharacteristicsofthematerialused.Note1--ThedimensionspertainingtosphericalgroundjointsweretakenfromtheCommercialStandardCS21-58oftheU.S.DepartmentofCommerce.Note2--Althoughglassisthemostcommonlyusedmaterialforgroundjoints,othermaterialsmaybeusedasspecified.SphericaljointsconstructedfromglassshallconformtoSpecificationsE438andE671.1.2ThefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytotheTestMethodportion,Section4,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
